When I hear this song, I don't necessarily hear EDM. To me, the opening chords are like the classic father telling a story to his son in bed, and as the story unfolds, a journey begins, unveiling feelings of wonder, excitement, question, desire, drama, and, as the song climaxes, passion. Perhaps it's a journey through my life. Whatever it may be, through music, you'll get to know my story. Let the music speak to you.

Notes:

-The chord progression is the same as the original song during Selena's melody.
-During the drops, I added many minor 7ths, major 7ths, sus 2, and sus 4 to the chord progression to create a more "magical" and passionate sound.
-Pay attention to the melody, inner voices, and "fills" during the drop (2:47 and 4:58). They are very important. Also, pay attention to these throughout the entire piece, as it greatly contributes to my desired atmosphere.
-Minor and major seconds were my best friend in this cover.
-The intro, arpeggios, RH harmonization method, build up, drop, and outro are original.

Sorry for the miscount at 2:20, and the tiny slip-ups. With only 3 days to compose before the 9th contest week started, I wish I had slightly more time to practice, but it's alright! I really like how this video turned out despite the mistakes.
