Описание: An ancient book of Middle Eastern tales is the inspiration for the Rimsky-Korsakov's beloved suite, Scheherazade. This is a solo guitar arrangement of the suite's second movement.

Scheherazade tells the story of a marginalized woman in a repressive society who uses her wit as a lever to dislodge power from her violent, brutal husband, the ruler of the land in which she lives. In her struggle to survive, she changes an empire. Scheherazade may be a fictional work, but it attests to the power that even the repressed can wield against institutionalized violence. This timeless narrative inspires us, like the story's hero, to stand against oppression in our world.
