🏡 Where We Stayed: Haven Holiday Park – Perran Sands
We set up home in a Silver Static Caravan at the brilliant Perran Sands Haven Holiday Park – tucked into the dunes above the coast. It was the perfect base: comfortable, family-friendly, with direct access to the beach and all the creature comforts that make life easy with kids. We arrived on Travel Day (Day 1), settled in, and soaked in that unique feeling of “we’ve made it.”

🎒 Day 2 Adventures Begin
Our first full day saw us exploring both land and sea – starting with the stunning Perranporth Beach and finishing in the subtropical wilderness of Trebah Gardens.

🏖️ Perranporth Beach – More Than Just Sand
A few minutes’ walk from our caravan opened out into a world of golden sand, towering dunes, and endless space to roam. But it wasn’t just the scenery – it was what we found:
– A slow worm basking near the dunes
– Massive jellyfish washed ashore (dozens of them!)
– A washed-up fridge (yep… that happened)
– Natural caves to climb and explore – perfect for curious little minds

Every corner held something unexpected – a reminder of how alive and wild the coast really is.

🍃 Trebah Gardens – Jungle Trails & Storybook Moments
Later, we ventured to the magical Trebah Gardens – a lush, jungle-like paradise leading down to a hidden pebble beach. Along the winding trails we stumbled on secret playgrounds for the kids – wooden swings, rope walks, and natural hideouts, all cloaked in greenery.

But then nature really turned up the volume:
🦅 A buzzard landed and bathed in a waterfall, just metres away
🐦 A wild robin landed gently on my hand, unprompted and unafraid – a moment we’ll never forget

We didn’t plan these things — they just happened. That’s the magic of Cornwall.
