2020 Ford Explorer ST problem starting pt1 of 2

On 11-1-19 My ST started doing some funky stuff when I tried to start it while I was at the store. Hard to capture exactly what was happening but when go to open the door I had to pull the handle twice for it to unlock. Then upon trying to start it with my foot on the brake like normal and I pressed the button the lights started to flash rapidly like a strobe. After fooling around with things and getting frustrated I tried going into the accessory mode first and then I put my food on brake and hit the button and it finally started right up. The whole time the Sync system is acting weird and not wanting to do its thing. Its seemed like it was confused on what to do and trying to shutdown and reboot. I then stopped to get gas and left it running for fear of not being able to get it going again and pretty much had the same issue trying to leave cause as soon as I got back in it and it shut down on its own and repeated the same things as before. I did notice on my way to the dealer the Auto Stop Start stopped working.

I took it to the dealer and I was sitting in the car window down talking to the adviser, in park touching nothing it shut off again freaked out flashing lights rapidly in front of them. They had one of the techs come over and pretty well decided the battery was bad. Upon him taking the ST to the back to plug it in and check it they witness voltage spikes. Come to find out there is a TSB for software update on the battery charging system and it needs a new battery. Which would lead me to ask then why does it start fine when it does start? Well it actually has two batteries. And they are a new type of glass pack batteries and they only place they are is in MI and it has to be shipped in and that's four to five days out.

This is pretty frustrating on a new vehicle with 2k miles on it. It is the second time this week its been in for software problems. The first is related to the instrument display and different functions not working such as the tachometer in normal mode(other modes I don't know yet) and the lane centering feature on the left button cluster doesn't work. Honestly I'm not sure what all doesn't work cause I literally don't know exactly what all I might be missing cause its never worked right and the most frustrating of all is there is currently no software fix or date for that. I have contacted the Ford regional rep and I'm waiting to hear back as of 11-2-19.
