Edil Yusuf, a senior staff nurse, is spending her sixth consecutive Christmas Day at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, caring for kids too poorly to go home.
Despite missing out on seeing her extended family, she looks forward to the festive period every year "because there is no better feeling than seeing the kids on Christmas day".
For Edil, the most difficult part of spending Christmas Day at hospital is when children are too unwell to enjoy the festivities - but the best part is "seeing the smiles on their faces".
It's estimated around a million people work on Christmas Day in the UK - most of them nurses.
