Video produced several years back for my Marist College students who are reading classic texts in Philosophy for either their first (Intro class) or second (Ethics class) time.
Upon watching the entire video again -- when I was considering creating a new, improved version of it -- I've decided that I managed to hit on nearly everything I thought important to get across to first-time readers of texts in philosophy. So, there's no need to create a new general video about reading philosophical texts.
I will, however, soon start shooting a new series of videos, each one giving my advice and pointers specifically about reading one important thinker in Philosophy -- e.g. Plato, Aristotle, Aquinas, Hegel, Nietzsche. . . .
