How did technology go hand in helping the Indian defence systems in warfare, citing few examples from the Kargil War and other major achievements and victories of the Indian defence system.

The talk by Maj. Gen Mani (Retd.) emphasized on pros and cons of technology in warfare with his experiences. Maj General C Mani, a distinguished individual, led the ICT setup in India's northeastern states and served as the Army Commander for Eastern Command's cybersecurity and electronic warfare. Head of IT Infrastructure and Services at the College of Defence Management, he deployed a native campus-wide network and commanded a Jammu-based Electronic Warfare Unit. In 1994, he created a Decision Support System in C++ for Counter Insurgency Operations. Presently, he oversees the development of anti-drone technologies, requiring expertise in digital signal processing, spread spectrum systems, antenna design, and quality assurance. Mr. Mani bridges user needs and technology to deliver high-quality products to various customers, including Indian Defense Forces, Police, CISF, and Central Asian Republics' security forces.
