The Ashanti (Asante) Kingdom is more than 1000 years old. Even reaching out to the new world. The world of South America. Where there are still people living with Ghanese traditions. Especially in Surinam.That is why, there were Surinam delegates invited to the enstoolment of the Queen mother of Ghana:
