When coding for excision of lesions a lot of different information must be taken into consideration – like is the lesion benign or malignant, what was the size of the lesion, and what kind of closure was performed? Let Haugen guide you to arrive at the correct code(s) by explaining pertinent anatomy, types of lesions, and procedures to remove and repair lesions. Using coding examples, Haugen will explain why the type of closure matters and show you how to apply the correct codes when billing for lesion removal procedures.
