Since late 2022, LKAB has used the truck at their iron ore mine in Malmberget and it has exceeded their expectations. The Scania 25P XT all-electric heavy tipper can carry 49 tonnes of load and transports residual products.
Scania and LKAB are both in industries that are shifting to become more sustainable. They have partnered to use electric vehicles in LKAB’s mines, a move towards greener transport for this sector.
