In this lecture, EKG is going to cover Fatty Acid (Beta) Oxidation—looking at how fatty acids are oxidised to acetyl-CoA to yield energy. We're going to break down the process of beta-oxidation to yield acetyl-CoA and how the electrons extracted from the fatty acids travel to the electron transport chain and produce ATP. In the end, we'll calculate the overall ATP yield per B-Oxidation cycle.
