ToonBarn's Marc Morrell interviewed Neil Ross at RetroCon in Oaks, PA on Saturday, September 14, 2013. In its second year, RetroCon has become the the definitive convention for everything that made the 70's and 80's great. The cartoons, music, movies, TV shows and toys and memorabilia from that era lives on in full force at RetroCon.
In this interview, veteran voice actor Neil Ross talks about his career, with Voltron paving the way for roles in over 2000 episodes from cartoons like G.I. Joe and Transformers to movies like Back to the Future 2 and Gremlins 2.
Neil lets us know how the voice of Pidge from Voltron was developed, and gives us a glimpse of what it was like to work for Wally Burr. He talks about his early days, transitioning from a DJ in radio to a very accomplished voice actor. We also find out what made him decide to create his own home studio for his work and auditions.
