জাপানের ডেঙ্গু টিকা কিউডেঙ্গাকে জরুরি প্রয়োজনে ব্যবহারের জন্য ছাড়পত্র দিয়েছে বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থা-ডব্লিউএইচও। ডেঙ্গুর প্রকোপ বেশি এমন অঞ্চলগুলোতে ৬ থেকে ১৬ বছরবয়সীদের ক্ষেত্রে এই টিকা ব্যবহার করা যাবে বলে জানিয়েছেন সংস্থার মহাপরিচালক ও নির্বাহীপ্রধান তেদ্রোস আধানম গেব্রিয়েসুস। এদিকে ডেঙ্গুতে আরও ১৩ জনের মৃ ত্যু হয়েছে গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায়। আর হাসপাতালে নতুন ভর্তি হয়েছে ২ হাজার ৭৯৯ জন।
