This video is a session where I administer the Vanderbilt, an ADHD assessment given to parents who believe their child may have ADHD (Attention-deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder). The assessment is given to the parent(s) of the child and a slightly different version can be given to the child's teacher(s). The assessment alone is not enough to diagnose ADHD, of course--the clinician would also factor in the parent's observations of the child, the clinician's impressions of the child and the child's medical and mental health history. The clinician would use all of this information along with the Vanderbilt to determine if the child meets the criteria for an ADHD diagnosis.
Towards the end of the video, I also go over the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 which are assessments that measure depression and anxiety.
