Junkadelic Brass Band: These Digital Times presented by the Melbourne International Jazz Festival

Описание: For These Digital Times, the Junkadelic Brass Band will lead a workshop in DIY music-making for children filmed in their Perth rehearsal space.

The Junkadelic Brass Band combine a smoking hot brass section, deep-rooted soul vocals, and a funk loaded percussion section using recycled DIY instruments.

The group draws on strong influences from New Orleans street music and big bands such as the Dirty Dozen and Rebirth Brass Band, combining traditional "secondline" grooves with horn parts reminiscent of James Brown and Sly and the Family Stone.
