Directly accessible from both ELITE Highway and LDP, The Glades is somewhat like a resort hidden away from urbanism. This is definitely one of those experience that is way beyond my expectation.

The Residences, which consist of 3-storey landed strata bungalows absolutely embodied the essence of vernacular architecture. The interplay between solid and void, the emphasis of outdoor-indoor relationship, the demarcation of active and private spaces are spot on! It just displays luxury on a different level.

Also, the common areas are my favourite. The adaptation of landscape design in their traffic control is tastefully done. The centralized water filtration, automated waste collection system, security measures are those behind-the-scene facilities that just enhances the lifestyle component. My favourite would be the clubhouse design. The experience is just amazing when the water body is integrated with the building, creating that deep appreciation for nature.

With all those elements, the debate of owning an individual title bungalow versus The Residences then becomes interesting. With the monthly maintenance fees, the owner gets to focus on living. However, the serenity might be disrupted for a while as there are still construction works on site as this is an on-going development project.

My concern is also the uncertainty of the usage of commercial building right at the entrance. Personally, I would want to have convenience but it might be too popular where it'll disrupt the entrance experience.
