Behind the scenes:

Oh my fricking goodness, this walk was tough to film. I kinda don't want to say that as I don't want to ruin your relaxed vibe but I can't hide my feelings. THE TRUTH HAS TO COME OUT!!! The rain was so much heavier than it sounds and looks in the videos and I never come prepared on my walks (type B personality unfortunately) so I didn't have gloves and my poor we hands were frozen off me. Also I haven't found a good setup for my umbrella as in one hand I hold the mic and the other I hold my gimbal/camera, so I basically tie the umbrella to the strap of my back-pack with a SOCK. Yes you heard me correctly. A. WHITE. SOCK. Which by the way I need because I keep losing socks, but I need an umbrella holder at the same time. Anyways. yeah the umbrella was flapping around and my camera kept getting wet and my mic was soaked. Also I kept thinking I was being followed as there was so much noise in the woods I thought I could hear footsteps behind me so I was paranoid. I thought to myself there better not be a creepy man in this woods ready to pounce on me because I am ready to tussle. Anyways you guys didn't ask for my life story so i will stop but you can read the stories of this forest below!!!!!


📜 The deep magic of Narrow Water forest✨

Deep in the forest there's a hidden folly (castle) built by the Hall family back in the 1800s. It's said that this ruin used to be a summer house or a gamekeeper's spot, and its very cool. I have a couple of videos walking to this castle.

Not far from there is the old 13th century Narrow Water Keep, which has a way more tragic vibe because of the Lassara Legend. Story goes that she was locked in the tower and, when she finally heard her lover calling out to her, she jumped from the battlements to her death and some people say her spirit still haunts the place and I can feel it because this place gives me the spooks (sorry Lassara)

Looking up at the peaks of Slieve Foy and the Mourne Mountains, you’re basically looking at a landscape shaped by giants. The most famous myth is about Fionn Mac Cumhaill hurling the massive Cloughmore Stone across the lough to take down another giant named Ruscaire. They say the impact of that throw literally carved out the land, and if you look closely at Slieve Foy, it’s supposed to be Fionn’s body itself turned to stone, watching over everything. Growing up, I felt like everyone could see the giants body and face on top of the mountain except for me. I still struggle to see his face!!
