Long Exposure Waterfalls with the Nikon D850 | Landscape Photography in Tasmania Episode 05

Описание: The weather wasn’t going to be good and was going to get worse, so we decided waterfalls were the order of the day. After exploring Guide Falls, we drove to Philosopher’s Falls to capture some landscape images of a very different waterfall.

After a quick lunch and walked the 45 minute track to the lookout from which you are able to view the Falls. There was an impressive amount of water running, and it seemed to fall straight out of the trees above it and disappear into the trees below.

There wasn’t room for three photographers so we each took turns capturing our shot. The elements were against us, mist, swimming wind and unrelenting rain that seemed to be getting heavier. I took. My camera out with the 24-70 lens, I added the circular polariser to get the greens of the trees to pop. I zoomed in tight on the waterfall and took a series of shots with various shutter speeds around 0.8 to 2 seconds. Allowing me to have the water smooth but still retain a little detail.
