Today, we set out to explore a brand-new trail off Highway 395, a route filled with endless mines and hidden spots to discover. The plan was simple see where the trail would take us. But adventure always comes with challenges. As we climbed higher, the snow got deeper, and being alone, I knew pushing further wasn’t worth the risk. I later stumbled upon one of the most incredible campsites I’ve ever found off 395. The following day we are hitting a couple sights at the Manzanar Historic Site, then taking a drive through the Alabama Hills and exploring the beautiful desert to find McIver cabin which is hidden deep in the woods and only accessible by four wheel drive.
