This piece was never painted by hand.
There was no brush, no correction, no second chance.
Only glaze, heat, and time.
Prepared like a blank sky, the porcelain surface entered the kiln knowing nothing of what it would become.
At 1300°C, the glaze began to move—
red blooming into blue,
blue dissolving into mist,
craters forming where the fire burned longest.
What emerged is not an image we designed,
but a moment the kiln chose to leave behind.
Each mark is a trace of gravity.
Each bloom is a memory of heat.
Each dark edge is where the fire paused—just briefly—before moving on.
This is Jun porcelain painting.
Not painted by hand,
but revealed by fire.
