We are welding a motor mount for a vibrator motor on a stainless steel hopper. The vibration is supposed to let the salt slide into the hopper easier and prevent it from clogging up.
We are using the HTP Pro Pulse 200 with 98%ar/2%co2 gas in a spray pulse arc and then we are also filling the hopper with 100% argon to shield the inside of the hopper. This way we are eliminating sugaring of the welds on the inside where we can otherwise not clean or protect the welds. The post flow on the machine helps to shied the welds on the outside until they are cooled down enough.
