So find out where your favourite characters are now and how many episodes they have accrued since 2022. We have a few new additions to the list and several have fallen below the threshold. I have added arrows to convey the rise and fall of character's episode counts for clarity.

And of course we answer the most important question: do we have a new No. 1? Or does Ian Beale remain the King of Walford?

In this countdown, I catalogue the Top 100 characters who have featured in the most episodes and prove, once and for all, who really takes the crown. Stats nerds, this is the video for you.

Disclaimer: In compiling this countdown I have tried to be as accurate as possible by counting statistics from the final episode of 2023 - 31st December. With the nature of EastEnders being a soap opera airing, on average, four episodes per week, this countdown will inevitably be outdated by the time of its publication, hence please disregard any minor discrepancies that may result from this.
