Skyrim - The City of Markarth Showcase - A Morrowind Mod

Описание: The city of Markarth, one of the truly great seats of power in Skyrim, stands as a bastion of Nordic strength and the capital of the Reach. Once a Direnni stronghold long ago, today Markarth is a strongly fortified city that acts as the seat of power for King Barda the Builder as he rules over the Reach. Second in political importance only to the High King and the city of Haafingar, there have been some rumors that King Barda may have ambitions that extend beyond his hold, though that remains to be seen.

Regardless, Markarth is a bustling city, home to numerous merchants, warriors, nobles, and academics from all over Skyrim, and the city's position on the Karth River ensures that it serves as a vital stopping point for merchants heading down to Karthwasten or up to Haafingar. Besides the bustling markets and docks though, two major landmarks stand out in Markarth; Elfstone Keep, a Direnni ruin that now serves as the palace of King Barda, overlooking the city, and the College of the Voice, an institution first established by Tiber Septim for the training of warriors to use the Voice, though today its occupants are more likely to be of the scholarly persuasion.

Outside of Markarth, a number of farms and villages dot the landscape of the Midkarth region, including the river town of Fen's Crossing. One of the few temperate regions of Skyrim, Midkarth acts as a breadbasket for the Reach, and quite a few farms can be found relatively nearby to the city of Markarth itself.

This flyby video shows only an early alpha look at the city of Markarth and the surrounding Midkarth region, and it'll probably be a few years before Markarth itself actually gets released.
