Eligibility Criteria ✅
Candidates must have a Master's Degree in Education or M.Ed. with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade of B+ on the UGC 7-point scale. A 5% relaxation in marks (from 55% to 50%) is available for candidates from SC, ST, OBC, or differently-abled categories, as per UGC guidelines. Candidates who have passed UGC/CSIR (JRF) examinations, NET/SET/SLET/M.Phil. in Education are exempted from the written Research Entrance Test (RET) and can directly apply for the interview.

Application & Fee Details 📝
The application form is available on the university's website: www.caluniv.ac.in. The application fee is Rs. 100 and must be paid online via SBI Collect. You must take a printout of the payment receipt and submit it along with the filled application form and other required documents. The hard copy submission must be made in a sealed envelope to the Office of the Department of Education.

Admission Process ⚙️
The admission process consists of a Research Entrance Test (RET) followed by a personal interview (viva). The RET is a written test for 50 marks, lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes, and will be conducted in English. The syllabus will cover Research Methodology and Statistical Analysis, as per the UGC-NET syllabus in Education, including academic and critical writing. The qualifying mark for the RET is 50% for the Unreserved Category, with relaxations for reserved categories as per government rules. The personal interview is for 50 marks, and the final selection will be based on this interview, which also includes the allocation of supervisors. There are a total of 8 seats available.
