We found the stereo in an ad online and bought it for $50 from a downsizing retired couple who bought the Philips when they got married in the 1960s. Andrew techno-handy manned the stereo back to life by cleaning up the insides and replacing the broken turntable, then we updated it to play our music wirelessly on the home network and added lights.
