CARE Nepal urges safe shelter and long-term recovery for flood survivors

Описание: Search and rescue efforts continue in Nepal, 11 days after a flash flood swept through the Himalayan region.
Authorities say thousands of people are in temporary shelters, and the true scale of the human cost is still emerging.

Mona Sherpa, Country Director for CARE Nepal, says survivors urgently need food, shelter and healthcare, while the authorities must ensure they do not return to areas still at risk of further flooding and landslides.
