Описание: Public spaces in cities don't just discriminate against women, but against anyone who isn't a typical, able-bodied men because cities have been built by men for men. YeSeul Kim opens your eyes to the invisible fences embedded in the fabric of our cities that keep out other genders, ethnic minorities, and age groups from feeling like they belong. She urges everyone to not only pay attention, but also to actively participate in building safer, more accessible, and more inclusive spaces - both in our physical and virtual spaces. YeSeul Kim is a business executive with over 12 years of experience across different industries, including higher education, philanthropy, and strategy consulting. She received her B.S. and Masters in Urban Planning from MIT. She began her career at Procter & Gamble as a consumer insights specialist and then as the Director of Operations at Ashoka, the world’s largest convener of social entrepreneurs. YeSeul was also the Director of Business Development & Operations at Northeastern University and Vice President of Strategy for the Kendall Square Association, an innovation district. YeSeul is currently the Dean of Student Life and former Head of K-12 at H-FARM. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
