Our work is centering around the trade of quality paulownia seedlings, the planning, development and operation of paulownia plantations and furthermore the trade of paulownia wood.

Paulownia trees are fascinating plants, whose rapid growth is truly impressive! At good sites they extent up to a length of 18-20m and a diameter of more than 40cm at breast height in only 10 years. To reach that an oak would need about 300 years and a comparatively fast-growing spruce still about 70 years!

During their early years paulownia trees can grow under favorable conditions up to 4m annually in height. The stems diameter expands by about 4cm annually. They grow faster than most of the other tree species and offer therefore quick capital repayments.

Cathaia means a worldwide exchange of paulownia know how. We engage in research and cultivational cooperation to find the best paulownia genotype and provide superior seedlings. For now we decided to only use generatively bred plants for we consider them to be the best key to increase prospects and lower risks.
