Welcome back to my next video,

In this video I wanted to Review the Saunders Waterford FatPad! It’s by far my favourite paper to use with gouache. It was a game changer for me in terms of how the paint went onto the paper, how the paint dried and kept it’s vibrant colours!

It’s the only thing I will stand fast on as an artist is the paper you use, it’s the most important element tools wise you will encounter and can make or break a painting. You can use cheap brushes (I do!) paint is also something that you can experiment with also and will be more forgiving the better it is and the only reason I use better quality paint is because of the archival qualities it has.

We all put a large amount of time and energy into each and every piece we produce and want our work to last and look as good as possible for as long as possible.

There are other top brands of paper out there and I would go and do your research on those too because as I like to say “art is a journey, not a destination”
