DISCLAIMER: Even though these are wild lions, the populations of lions in this area are habituated to seen humans and don't see them neither as prey or as threat. Lions and other predators are seen in an around campsites very often. There have been, as far as I know, no records of lion attacks here. That been said, ir is important to remind you that these are wild lions and that accidents may happen if people don't respect them. People have been recorded doing things that may trigger a lion reaction, like walking to them to give them water. Those actions can put you in danger. If you get attacked, a whole pride may be shot down. Please enjoy these places with respect and caution.

We were back in Botswana! Arrived at Twee Rivieren, South Africa, but slept only in the South African side.

From the first moment, it was big cat sightings. Cats, cats and more cats!

We attempted to cross one of the most challenging tracks there are, the Nossob-Mabua trail. 170 kilometers of sandy, heavily corrugated roads and dunes.

We slept at Matopi Campsite, at the middle of the Kgalagadi. More than 150 kilometers from any main human settlement. This is the middle of nowhere.

We were back in the real bush. We love the bush life!!
