Brief instructional video with some quick tips on sounding a roof as the hook member of a roof team. Key points:
Sound out in front along your path of travel, not under your feet
Grab the D-Handle with your top hand to keep the tool secure and improve sounding strength
When choosing a route, utilize structural members and travel on strong points of the roof when possible (peaks, valleys, load-bearing walls, etc.)
Use the D-Handle to punch ceiling and avoid getting the hook stuck
