Hollywood writers never had the leverage to start a strike to begin with. This was obvious from the start of the strike.
AI was a major hurdle they had to overcome, and with the way Hollywood is bleeding money, there is no doubt that writers needed more than just a work stoppage to sway the studios into seeing things their way. Nothing of that sort has materialized in the last 2 1/2 months, so now studios have begun job listings for AI specialists. My prediction: these jobs will become the AI jobs writers fears would replace them .
