Описание: See our blacksmith forge weld parts of this fitting for Gjøa. By heating the metal to around 1300°C, the metal is forged together creating a very strong connection. Borax is used to prevent oxidation. The design of the fitting is seen on old photographs of Gjøa, and the technique used is based on documentation of a range of fittings from similar ships of the same time period.
