Ippo and Kumi’s have a stalled relationship and it had been dragging on for nearly 10 years in-universe and 30 years in real life.
Since then, a lot has happened in the story, and now I’m not even sure if Ippo and Kumi are still a couple, or if anything will happen between them anymore.
This shift came as a surprise to both of them, and for reasons that seem to come full circle, their relationship has really stagnated.
