Описание: Reacting to a very fast verdict against former President Donald Trump in the sexual battery and defamation case brought against him by writer E. Jean Carroll for his attack on her some 30-years ago in a dressing room in Bergdoff Goodman. I tell CNN's Wolf Blitzer that the Trump defense team likely made strategic errors in not putting on a case thus allowing the strong evidence and presentation put on by Carroll's legal team - led by Robbie Kaplan - to go unrebutted. Trump's decision to not show up in the courtroom at all also hurt him in my opinion because the jury' only impression of him was the extremely damming video deposition in which he leaned into his misogynistic comments captured on the Access Hollywood video in which he boasted about groping and kissing women without their consent. In Trump's video deposition he suggested that as a "star" he was entitled to do this and that this entitlement to sexual violence had dated back "a million years." Reporting by CNN's Kara Scannell with discussion about the political impact of this case with Gloria Borger, David Chalian and Audrie Cornish. In response to Wolf Blitzer's question about how Trump will navigate this and the other investigations still pending I answer that he has little choice but to take them one by one as they roll downhill at him and that we are also beginning to see the tail end of his legal efforts to derail these cases fail one by one.
