Hello! It's been a very long hiatus. The future of this channel still remains unresolved, but in the interim, I filmed this cemetery sitting atop a mountain in Hot Springs, NC. The journey through dense fog, a winding river road, and up a mountain onto dirt paths without GPS - I couldn't be positive I had found my destination. It has been reclaimed by the forest, and sits quietly in campgrounds whose trails have bisected the cemetery. Many markers are lost to time, others barely peek out from the mossy earth. Returning to the channel felts awkward and rewarding, and I think I picked the perfect location to find my footing again.
Find-A-Grave has a marker that denotes a date of ~1908 as it's founding. Singer Jane Hicks Gentry is interred on the property. Here's her wiki, she sounds like a fascinating woman. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jane_Hi...
There were formerly, twenty-two WW1 German Soldiers at rest here, but they were moved in 1933.
