APE 1 - apeMatrix, crazy LFO’s and auGEN X

Описание: So after a couple of great videos by Doug at the SoundTestRoom    • auGEN X - Expressive Audio Generator & ape...   and Daveypoo    • Sugar Bytes: Egoist, Cyclop and Turnado in...   I took the plunge away from AUM and into Ape Matrix to see what it could do. This is the result of my first experiments. Sometimes the novelty of something new and the resulting ‘beginners mind’ can be wonderfully creative.
So what have I learnt?
1 - Ape Matrix has a jewel in its crown - inbuilt LFO control of almost everything. This is the main reason for me persevering, away from AUM, it’s a great feature and very addictive.
2 - The routing and FX chain in the matrix makes you think and use things in different ways.
3 - There are limitations, mainly around how many apps can be used in just 3 matrixes - but sometimes restrictions can help with more creative thinking...

auGEN X is a fascinating app which lends itself perfectly to Ape Matrix and its LFOs. It very much reminds me of the modular synthesis playground. See Doug’s video above for a great tutorial.
