Route: K Ingleside Bus Inbound to West Portal Station
From: Balboa Park Station
To: West Portal Station
Due to the recent Bay Area Storm and a big tree fell down at Sloat, both K and M metro lines are affected. Motor coaches are in place to support their segments between West Portal Station and Balboa Park Station.
Sadly, there are only roughly two or three coaches on the K, which created a very unstable frequency on Ocean Avenue. Some people were also confused of the arrangement and waited for trains instead of these buses.
The K buses drop off in front of West Portal Station across the road for passengers transferring to MUNI Metro Trains inside the station, and then picks up at LBUS stop in front of the library. At Balboa Park Station, buses drop off next to the boarding platform on San Jose Avenue and picks up passengers there as well.
Small detour towards West Portal Station was also in effect. Towards West Portal Station stops on Ocean between Balboa Park and City College will be missed.
