Cauliflower dry masala varuval recipe is a perfect side dish for curd rice.This dry curry recipe tastes spicy and delicious. Making this curry is very easy provided you garnish with curry masalapowder or garam masala powder.
ingredients required to make this dry cauliflower poriyal:
Onion-1 big
Tomato-1 small
Cauliflower-1
Curry leaves some
Ginger garlic paste-1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Chilli powder-1/2tsp
Coriander powder-1tsp
Curry masala powder-1/2tsp or
Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp
salt as per taste
Oil-5tsp
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Fennel seeds-1/2 tsp
Steps to make this dry curry:
1.Boil cauliflower in hot water for 5 mins and then drain water keep it aside.
2.Take a pan add oil and seasoned with mustard seeds,cumin seeds and fennel seeds.
3.Then add chopped onions and curry leaves ,saute 3 mins.
4.Add in chopped tomatoes and let it cook.
5.Then add ginger garlic paste and saute another 2 mins in low flame.
6.Add on boiled cauliflower, turmeric powder and salt and give it a nice mix,close the lid and cook for 3 mins.
7.Now open the lid and add Chilli powder, coriander powder and mix all together well.
8.Cook in low flame for 4 mins.
9.Once the masala got cook,now add curry masala powder Nd garnish with coriander leaves.
10.Let it cook in full flame for 2 mins then switch off the flame.now dry cauliflower
curry is ready to serve with curd rice.
