Welcome to my 643rd flight on British Airways City Flyer from London City Airport to Glasgow International. This is an exciting flight as London City Airport is unique as it requires steep approach and climb out, due to the tall buildings in the vicinity. I have travelled to the airport several times, but never had a chance to actually depart from the airport.
In this video, I will make my first ever flight report out of LCY. This is also my last flight of 2025 summer trip and I am super-excited as it is also my first ever flight out of London City Airport. Due to its proximity to London city centre, only certain types of aircraft, which are capable of departing at steep angle are certified to fly out of LCY.
