Back in June, the Florida East Coast Railway received it's first rocket booster train bound for the NASA railroad in nearly 10 years. The reason was for the new SLS Rocket to be used for the Artemis mission program, which will bring humans back to the moon by 2024.
Roughly 3 months later, on the morning of September 16th, an unknown train starting moving south from FEC's Bowden Yard in Jacksonville. After hearing reports from other railfans that it was a NASA train, I knew that it was going to be picking up the now empty booster cars. So I set up to catch both runs of the train, the engines lite SB, and the full train NB.
Interestingly enough, the booster cars (with the exception of the first car) were not spaced out like they were on the trip south.
