[22-Minute Drive | A Short Trip Under the Summer Clouds]

Описание: This week, my wife and I took a short break from work to spend time with a dear friend who visited us after several years.
I’ve been living in Germany, and he’s been living in the U.S.—our lives shaped by different environments, different experiences.
We shared old memories from childhood, and talked about how we’ve grown and changed, how we each see the world now through the lens of our own paths.

After a few days together, full of conversation, laughter, and reflections on the past and future, we said our goodbyes—quietly wishing each other happiness and good fortune.
Needing a moment of peace after the intensity of hosting, my wife and I went for a short drive.
We packed just three golf clubs, and headed to a nearby driving range, hoping to swing freely, sending golf balls flying far into the field—like a symbolic gesture to clear the mind.

How many more times will I see my old friend again in this life?
How much will we have changed by then?
These questions lingered as we drove back, gently re-entering our daily life.

It’s a hot summer.
Autumn and winter will come soon enough.
But for now, I want to stay present in this heat, in this moment—
So that when I meet my friend again, I can show them a life lived with care, one moment at a time.
