Paul Magriel's commentary of the final, beamed out on a PA system was the inspiration for a televised world tour, the result, the "World Series of Backgammon". Season I aired on Eurosport 2 in 44 European countries Nov/Dec 06. Season II and 15 hours of programming from Cannes, London and Copenhagen aired in 50 countries; season III, broadcast on the web, with live webcasting and video clips online.
