While every child is different, typically by age two your child should be displaying some defined behavior. Hence the commonly referred to term as the terrible two's. This is really their ability to say that they're very independent, they have all of a sudden feelings and emotions, and they have opinions; and they're going to show them to you.

This is very natural and it's very normal. Typically also by the age of two your child will not really be playing with other children. They are more in a parallel play-mode. So using language with them, modeling for them how to play with other children, is really important. So encouraging opportunities to play with other children, having play-dates, and showing them "my turn, then your turn", and showing them how really to appropriately play with others is a really good tip at this point.

Because again they're very much independent and they've very much about themselves. While your two-year-old is excited to play with other children, they may not know how and remember it's really great to show them, model for them, and use simply language at this age.
