Tens of thousands of Chinese students are scrambling to return to their overseas university campuses. Beijing has announced it would no longer recognise degrees obtained through online learning. Under the new rule, those enrolled to study online with overseas institutions have to be on campus for the first term. With the new school year set to begin in about three weeks in Australia, many are upset that Chinese authorities have given such short notice.
