Rare extra heavy rock train at night on Cincinnati Eastern Railroad! It was a Saturday night which is even more rare. Trains in Chattanooga, Tennessee are also included. We see a passenger train led by a TAG locomotive turning around on a steep wye track with a Norfolk Southern train passing at the same time. I was blessed with the timing of that. I also show a short clip of riding the TVRR train and seeing stored railroad equipment on a siding as we pass. Notice the Tenn Bridge in the outro with a train consisting of a Heritage Unit crossing it.
I was watching some Karen videos on YouTube when I got a call about a night train on the CCET. I was lucky to get that call because I didn't even think a Saturday night train on CCET was possible. It was just before 11:30pm and so dark that the only good video that I could get was in downtown Williamsburg, Ohio. The crossing there has a good street light and I was hoping for a car to come by and light the train up for me. The EMD locomotives are working hard with over 20 loads of rock going up the hill. Notice the awesome wave that I got from the engineer!
I couldn't end the video there so I added the last time that I caught a night train on CCET. It was 8 degrees Fahrenheit on a January, 2025 evening when I filmed a rock train at the same spot. That one had 4 locomotives. It started out with 2 locomotives but stalled out on the grade in Mount Orab so 2 more locomotives came to the rescue. They tied on and we see all 4 working hard! The video was still too short so I looked for some interesting video that I never posted. I found video from Chattanooga, Tennessee. This is the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum. A tourist passenger train is seen turning on the wye while two Norfolk Southern trains pass by in the distance. That was actually pretty cool. We also rode the train there and ate lunch at the railroad station.
Don't forget the Live Action Pets near the end and the slide show. I included a couple scenes of a train crossing the gigantic Tenn Bridge in Chattanooga and trains moving in the gigantic railroad yard in Chattanooga.
