Steve Pinto, President of TRAK Machine in Los Angeles, describes his company's journey into a new line of machine tools and their discovery of SINUMERIK ONE CNC from Siemens. The entire machine was designed, engineered, validated and simulated for performance, using this digital native control. By doing so, TRAK was able to introduce a "proven" machine tool at the outset. Steve describes the process whereby his team became aware, then accepting, of the SINUMERIK ONE CNC and all it could do for their design, engineering and machine building tasks. Steve speaks to the integration of digitalization into many aspects of life and now into the machine tool world. Finally, he notes how Siemens is striving to collaborate with its builder community to bring a virtual world and artificial intelligence to market.
