With patterns beginning to emerge, we set out to investigate the direction we believed these creatures were traveling.

Deep in then northeast Ohio wilderness, we began finding signs that stopped us in our tracks—perfectly formed X-structures, horizontal trees, and other wood talk.

Wanting to push the investigation further, I made the decision to leave an audio recorder running overnight in one of the most active areas.

What we captured the next morning was something I will never forget.

For over 22 minutes, the recorder picked up what can only be described as chanting—deep, rhythmic, and unlike anything I’ve ever heard in the woods before. Many refer to this type of vocalization as coming from the Ohio Grassman, a regional variation of Bigfoot. The sounds are clear, sustained, and incredibly eerie, echoing through the early morning silence.

This is, without a doubt, some of the most compelling audio evidence I’ve ever recorded—and now I’m sharing it with you.
