DAY 5: NON-TRADITIONAL BACKGROUNDS AND THE LEGAL PROFESSION
This week I will be sharing a video a day with the aim of showing aspiring paralegals, solicitors, and barristers how others before them have made it into the profession!
Today's video is by Fabian Murray (Paralegal Apprentice at Addleshaw Goddard)
Fabian explains the benefits of working and completing a law degree at the same time. Fabian explains the benefits of gaining experience in various practice areas such as litigation and Real Estate.
Advice from Fabian:
1. “Apprenticeships are not to be dismissed by those interested in a career in the law.”
2. “Research the firm when applying and reach out to current apprentices if you are interested in applying.”
3. “A career in law is not a sprint but a journey. Work hard and you will reach your destination.”
