My Fully Restored Pampas 1981 Armitage Shanks "Magnia" toilet suite!

Описание: Here is my Armitage Shanks Magnia low level toilet suite with its matching ASA 33 cistern in pampas colour, made in May of 1981. It is now fully reconditioned back to its former glory.

First acquired on September 27th, 2022, this suite was quite scaled up from years of use and was initially covered in dust and dirt as I had picked it up from a salvage yard where it was brought from a building site.

Now did it actually take 2 years to restore this?…. No not really, the pan and cistern were basically finished in November of 2022 so it didn’t actually take long, I had to pack it away and during that time I had started college so i never really got a chance to set it up again until now.

When I first got it, pretty much all the original fittings were missing except for the handle, it didn’t even have an inlet valve, I’ve put back in all the original fittings that this toilet would have come with at the time, the beta valve, float ball and handle assembly are new old stock from 1981 so it makes this a perfect restoration, the brass part 1 float valve is made by Cobra and was sourced from another toilet but it was standard at the time so all the manufacturers used them, I polished it up to make it look extra nice.

As for the toilet seat, the original NIP thermoset seat was sadly broken, but I did get another one when the close couple 1981 Armitage Shanks Etosha came along 2 months later in the same exact colour, but I decided to use this stained pine seat as I think it actually looks nicer on here, this seat was sold by B&Q over in the UK which I was lucky enough to win on an eBay auction, I got it back in September 2021 which was quite a while back now, but it’s nice to finally feature it in a video.
